The Ministers of Public Administration of Montenegro and North Macedonia, Maraš Dukaj and Goran Minčev, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of public administration reform today.
As announced by the Montenegrin Ministry of Public Administration (MPA), the signing of the Memorandum with North Macedonia represents an important step towards strengthening institutional capacities and strengthening partnership relations.
It is stated that the Government of Montenegro, in accordance with its strategic commitment to establishing an efficient, modern and citizen-oriented public administration, recognizes the importance of regional cooperation and exchange of best practices in this area.

Dukaj said that the Memorandum is proof that they are doing everything, both domestically and internationally, to ensure that public administration effectively integrates innovations into its processes and is no longer a challenge, but a leader of all social changes.
"Together we can work better and achieve more," Dukaj emphasized.
According to him, the goal is to further encourage the exchange of experiences, knowledge and expertise in the field of public administration reform, as well as to enable concrete and continuous cooperation between the competent institutions of Montenegro and North Macedonia.

Dukaj stated that this is a way to contribute to greater openness of public administration towards citizens, the economy and international partners.
Minchev emphasized that this document is not just a formality.
"It is a roadmap for a common future, for strengthening institutional capacities and for a new chapter in bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Montenegro," said Minchev.
According to him, public administration reform is not only an internal obligation, but also an external signal.

"That our institutions are ready for European standards, modern governance and true partnerships in the region," said Minchev.
Dukaj and Minčev, as stated in the statement, held a working meeting with their associates at which they determined the roadmap for implementing the Memorandum.
