The civic movement URA is the only obstacle to the intention of the DPS and the parliamentary majority to make the next parliamentary elections a new referendum and to divide Montenegro into blocs again, said the leader of that party, Dritan Abazović, in his authorial podcast "Friday with Dritan".
"Abandon the false patriotism from which you have all filled your pockets. The only party that has consistently cared about the national interests of Montenegro is URA. Today, URA is the only barrier to your intention, as well as the intention of this freak parliamentary majority, to make the next elections a new referendum and for Montenegro to be, unfortunately, divided again. We treat all citizens equally, in accordance with the Constitution and the law, on civil grounds - and that is why URA is a thorn in your side," he told DPS, according to a statement from his party.
He responded to DPS, as he said, regarding the comments that the party's leader, Danijel Živković, made yesterday in the show "Načisto" on TV Vijesti about the decisions of the GP URA after the 2020 elections.
"What did you expect? That, against the will of the citizens, we would support Vesna Medenica, Zoran Lazović, Duško Golubović...? That we would stand behind people who gained everything through corruption, robbing Montenegro? Did you think that we would stand as a shield for Milo Đukanović and his camarilla – Petar Ivanović and Branimir Gvozdenović?", asked Abazović.
Speaking about the traffic collapse at the beginning of the tourist season and problems with the workforce, he said that citizens ask him every day about roadworks and roadblocks, stating that these problems are inherited, but also that the Government has no strategy for solving them.
Abazović also pointed out that prices in supermarkets have increased by 20 to 30 percent in the pre-season, and that this, combined with the condition of the roads, has a deterrent effect on tourists.
"What measures has the Government taken to prevent this from happening? What has been done within its powers to prevent the tourist season from being catastrophic? We cannot expect help from this Government because it is incompetent - we can only rely on God's help to have as many nice days as possible, so that people, despite the state of the roads, will go to the sea and the mountains," he assessed.
Abazović expressed hope that the works would not discourage tourists from coming again, emphasizing that the dynamics could have been better planned.
"It is unacceptable that we are celebrating June 20th in this situation, while at the same time there is talk of building highways and expressways," he said.
He again warned about the chronic deficit of domestic labor, emphasizing the need to solve the problem systematically. Abazović believes that obtaining work permits should be simplified, and that the first concrete measure should be to treat people from the region as domestic workers, which, he says, would not be in conflict with European Union rules, according to a statement from the GP URA.
