The Coordination Committee of the European Union (EU) has been constituted in Rožaje, which further strengthens the joint political action of the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Liberal Party (LP) in the north of the country, the political movement announced.
As announced, the decision to form the Coordination Board was made at a meeting of the municipal boards of the aforementioned parties, with the joint assessment that Rožaje deserves a stable, development-oriented and inclusive political platform, which will consistently represent the interests of all citizens.

"Special attention at the meeting was devoted to analyzing the situation in the municipality and the need for more urgent solutions to problems in the areas of infrastructure, employment and public services. Our cooperation within the European Union represents a clear alternative to divisive policies and incompetent management. We are convinced that Rožaje can and must do better," the statement said.
They add that it was particularly emphasized that one of the key goals of the European Union in Rožaje is to remove the current local government of the Bosniak Party (BS), which, as they said, is responsible for the catastrophic situation in this municipality.

"But equally for the ideological darkness at the state level, which they have enabled through a coalition with those who celebrate convicted war criminals, affirm Chetnikism and brutally revise history. Such a political alliance is not and cannot be an expression of the will of a civic, European-oriented Montenegro, nor of those who have consistently defended anti-fascist and multiethnic values. And especially not in the name of the Bosniak people who, if they are lucky, should be representing them," the statement emphasizes.
According to them, during the session, the strategic directions of the new board were also discussed, including greater involvement of youth, promotion of European values, and concrete initiatives that will contribute to the economic and social development of this municipality.

"By forming the Coordination Committee in Rožaje, we are opening up space for a stronger political presence based on knowledge, responsibility and respect for diversity. The European Union will continue to build trust with citizens, offering them realistic and achievable solutions," the EC statement reads.
The meeting was chaired by the presidents of the municipal committees of the parties that make up the Alliance, Alen Kalač and Rejhan Agović, while the attendees were addressed by the leaders of the Alliance, Damir Šehović and Ivan Vujović, MP Branislav Nenezić, and SDP Vice President Amina Cikotić.

"Also, on this occasion, new members who joined the European Union were also addressed. Earlier in the day, the president of the Social Democratic Party in the Parliament of Montenegro, Boris Mugoša, held a series of meetings with businessmen and prominent citizens from this municipality," the statement concluded.
