We must not allow the policies of populism and nationalism to take complete control of Montenegro, the Ulcinj branch of the Civic Movement (GP) URA announced.
The URA headquarters announced that the meetings of the party's municipal committees in preparation for the 4th regular Congress are coming to an end.
"At the meeting of the Ulcinj URA Municipal Board, candidates for leadership positions in the party had the opportunity to present their programs and answer questions from members, after which the Ulcinj URA Municipal Board made the decision to nominate Dr. Dritan Abazović for the party president, and Ana Novaković-Đurović, Milena Vuković and Blaža Rađenović for the vice presidents," the URA GP statement states.
The Ulcinj URE emphasizes that the upcoming Congress is an opportunity to inject new energy and strength into the politics of GP URA, "as the only truly civic party that does not accept the game of two opposing blocs that constantly emphasize topics that divide our society."
"We must not allow the policies of populism and nationalism to take complete control over Montenegro. Where public officials predominantly use power to pursue their personal interests, rather than to work in the service of citizens and the state. We must not allow a government that is ready to give the most valuable natural resources we have to someone for 99 years, suspending the Constitution and laws of our country, as well as European Union regulations. Montenegro needs a government that will work exclusively in the interests of its citizens, so that, in addition to all its beauties, it can completely become the most beautiful European story tailored to all its citizens," said the Ulcinj-based URE.
The Fourth Congress of the GP URA will be held on July 5th on Lovćen, where the new party leadership will be elected, and as announced, their vision and program for the development of the country called "Montenegro 365" will also be presented at the Congress.
