The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, is leading the Montenegrin delegation at the NATO Summit taking place in The Hague on June 24 and 25, the Public Relations Office of the President of Montenegro announced today.
"The meeting of heads of state and government of thirty-two Alliance members, partner countries and the European Union is the first summit chaired by the new NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte. Key topics to be discussed include strengthening NATO's deterrence and defense capabilities, increasing defense spending and developing the defense industry, as well as continuing support for Ukraine," the statement said.
It is stated that Milatović will also attend a gala dinner for leaders of Alliance members hosted by King Willem Alexander tonight.
"On the sidelines of the Summit in The Hague, the President of the state will speak with numerous European leaders and reiterate our commitment to achieving the strategic goal - EU membership by 2028," said the Public Relations Office of the President of Montenegro.
