As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this year's school brought together young diplomats from 53 countries, which represents the largest number of participating countries to date.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović emphasized that this initiative, started to connect young diplomats regionally, has today grown into a globally recognized platform.

"To date, more than a thousand international relations professionals from almost 100 countries have had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and expand diplomatic contacts through this school," said Ibrahimović.

He, as reported, emphasized the importance of face-to-face meetings in a time when communication is increasingly moving into the digital space.

Ibrahiović said that this is precisely the essence of diplomacy – "to understand, investigate, convey information and make decisions in the interests of those we represent."

"You will look for solutions where others see obstacles. You are the ones who will build bridges of cooperation and make decisions that connect people and ideas," Ibrahimović said.

UNDP Resident Representative in Montenegro Ekaterina Paniklova emphasized that the school is an example of diplomacy as it should always be - a meeting of minds, a bridge between cultures, and a space in which trust is built.

"In a world marked by uncertainty and division, diplomacy connects us. It drives the transformation of conflict into cooperation and diversity into dialogue - bringing people, cultures and governments together to build peace and advance human development," said Paniklova.

She emphasized that young diplomats play a key role in shaping today's world through their commitment to cooperation, equality, and building a more inclusive and resilient future.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Berane, Đole Lutovac, welcomed the participants to the city of Gavro Vuković, the first Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs, stating that Berane is sending a message of openness, cooperation and youth on this occasion.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the program will last until June 27th and will continue in the coming days in Kolašin, Podgorica, Kotor and Cetinje, where participants will have the opportunity to connect, get to know Montenegro and discuss contemporary global challenges through dialogue and exchange of experiences.
