We call on the Election Commission of the Royal Capital to turn a blind eye and allow the return of the same DPS councilors to the Cetinje parliament, now that they have already changed their minds, or the security situation has suddenly improved, the SDP and Citizens list announced today.

The statement was submitted by the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

"Will they be even a little ashamed that they are using the Cetinje tragedies for political purposes and that each of their principles lasts just as long as the snow in May? It is a civilizational, irreparable shame that such fighters for Cetinje are not in the local parliament after the disgrace they have caused themselves and the citizens of Cetinje," the SDP and Citizens list said in a statement.

Vijesti announced today that the ten seats in the Cetinje parliament, which remained vacant after the resignations of councilors from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), will still be filled by their party colleagues from lower positions on the list, although the party claimed that this would not happen.

DPS councilors collectively resigned at the end of April due to, as Oskar Huter, the head of the party's Cetinje committee, said at the time, the deteriorating security situation in Cetinje and "institutional inability to provide security to citizens."
