The Spatial Plan of Montenegro could not have been established by the Government on June 12 without the consent of the Environmental Protection Agency on the Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment Report. Ministers voted for the Spatial Plan without reviewing this report, which is unacceptable and constitutes a violation of the law, and so today the deputies will vote for the most important strategic document of the state, without reviewing all the documents, the Civic Movement URA pointed out.
In a statement sent to the media, the party said that the frivolity and superficiality of this government and the majority continue when adopting such an important document, and that they will not give legitimacy to such a process.
"The government of Dritan Abazović established the Draft Spatial Plan, which, according to experts and the wider public, was a quality document. Now we have the government of Milojko Spajić, with its amendments, degrading such a document by introducing populist ideas about Velje Brdo, unfoundedly expanding construction zones, without a clear vision and decision on the protection and development of the space," added the GP URA.
They said that they would continue to fight for the true development of our country, and that the healthy ideas from the Draft of this document be implemented, and that populism and the destruction of space must be put to an end.
