A new Municipal Board (MO) of the Socialist People's Party (SNP) was elected in Rožaje today, consisting of 16 members, and Bojan Đurović was appointed as the president of the MO, the SNP announced.
Đurović, as stated by the SNP, thanked them for the trust shown and emphasized that the board will "immediately begin intensive work in the field, strengthening the infrastructure and realizing the party's program goals."
"He expressed special gratitude to the previous leadership and members of the previous board, emphasizing that in the future they will continue to work together on the prosperity of Rožaje and the strengthening of the SNP in this area," the statement reads.
It is added that the session was also attended by SNP leader Vladimir Joković, as well as members of the party's Presidency, Miodrag Bulatović and Ivan Radević.
It is stated that Joković, addressing those present, congratulated the newly elected members on their positions and emphasized that "in all the previous years, it was precisely in multiethnic and multinational environments like Rožaje that it was most difficult to remain steadfast in the idea of the SNP."
"The SNP is a party that has never traded its principles and has always stood by its people, regardless of political circumstances. Our strength lies in people who believe in the values of honesty, justice and unity - that is precisely why I believe that the SNP in Rožaje will be increasingly stronger," he said.
"Finally, it was announced that the SNP plans a stronger and more organized presence on the ground, through joint work at the local and state levels, with the aim of strengthening the trust of citizens and better presenting the policies that the party advocates. The SNP Rožaje, as it was emphasized, will be an important pillar in the further construction of a stable, just and responsible Montenegro," the statement reads.
