Todorović: There is no more need for acting and talking about "program cooperation", Budva is again under the absolute control of DPS

Here is the final confirmation of what everyone knew, and some persistently tried to hide - DPS has taken over Budva again, and their reliable messengers from SDP and Budva Our City have only obediently opened the door for them, said Jovana Todorović, a councilor of the For the Future of Budva coalition in the Municipal Assembly of that city and spokesperson for the Democratic People's Party (DNP).

There is no dilemma here, adds Todorović, anyone who dares to show, even for a moment, that they will not serve DPS unquestioningly will end up in the same place as Joko Popović - expelled, removed and humiliated.

"Because Popović was part of their team while he was nodding his head, and as soon as he tried to show that he wasn't just an extra and that he had something to say in this play, he was immediately removed.

"That's the true picture of this government - either you're an obedient figure who signs everything the DPS orders, or you fly out. That's how the citizens of Budva could see what every story about 'agreement for the benefit of the municipality' and 'technical support' is worth. It's worth nothing," says the DNP spokesperson.

He says that those who until yesterday assured him that there was no coalition, that they would never allow the return of those who robbed and humiliated this city, today have ceded everything to them - from their positions to control over companies.

"And they do it with a smile, as if they are convinced that citizens have completely forgotten what Budva was like under the DPS. What is particularly hypocritical is the attempt to convince citizens that those with the best references will be appointed to management positions, and then lo and behold, the Municipal Company and Parking Service take on DPS officials, while Popović, the second-placed candidate in the competition, with obviously better references, falls like a sore thumb because he did not want to obey the orders of what is now only a fictitious mayor," says Todorović.

She assessed that it was an obviously brutal demonstration of force, but also a message to everyone who is still part of that group not to accidentally try to think for themselves.

"The same hand that kicked him out tomorrow will kick out anyone who tries to disagree with the DPS. This is a government in which the order is known in advance: the DPS is the boss, the rest are decorations, and whoever does not agree to be decorations – flies. That's how it was, that's how it remained, and that's how it will be as long as these 'new partners' Budva, our city, and the SDP hold on to their positions and remain silent while the DPS hands out tasks to them."

"Therefore, there is no need for acting and announcements about some kind of 'program cooperation'. Budva is again under the absolute control of DPS, and everyone else is just proof of how low someone can fall for the sake of an office," the statement concludes.
