The turnaround became a party
Although they participated in the last parliamentary and several local elections as a group of citizens, Preokret has since become a party.
Namely, a political entity whose founder is Srdjan Peric was on the list of registered parties.
Their councilor in the Podgorica parliament, Mirza Krnić, spoke to Vijesti in early March about the problems faced by groups of citizens who want to participate in the elections.
Among other things, he said that each person on their lists must have their candidacy notarized, and they can only claim campaign funds as individuals. On the other hand, parties only need to verify their lists with the party seal before running, and they can obtain funding for campaign activities by applying for a loan.
