Srebrenica's July 11, 1995, is a date that must not be forgotten, and the crime that occurred three decades ago must never be repeated, the Party of European Progress (SEP) said.
The party said that, with the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre, it is important to realize that the world today lives in a time of growing challenges.
This, they stated, is an obligation to promote tolerance and dialogue in resolving all open issues, while strongly opposing nationalism and aggressive policies of historical revisionism.
"SEP expresses its respect for the victims of the crime and their families. We once again recall the importance of the adopted Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly declaring July 11th the International Day of Remembrance of the Srebrenica Genocide," the statement said.
The SEP, the party led by former Prime Minister Duško Marković, announced that they will advocate for a reminder of historical truths.
"And preserving the values of justice and freedom on which our society was founded, despite great suffering, so that current and new generations can continue on the path of understanding and coexistence with democratic and economic progress," the statement said.
