Zejak: They're drawing a target for me, I didn't participate in the attack on Jovanović

Željko Zejak filed a criminal complaint with the Budva police against a councilor from the "Budva Our City" political group because, as he stated, they falsely accused him of participating in the attack on the Mayor of the Municipality, Nikola Jovanović, thereby creating a target for him and endangering his safety.

This morning, Jovanović's group issued a statement accusing Zejak of providing "tactical support and acting as a scout" to the three Mitrović brothers.

"I would like to emphasize that the aforementioned statement, which mentions my name without reason, caused me a feeling of anxiety and without any reason, the aforementioned persons labeled me as a participant in the commission of something that I did not do, nor did I have anything to do with it," Zejak stated in the report submitted to "Vijesti".

He states that today in the morning hours he was working on the beach at a tenant's place in Budva, where he was supposed to repair some wooden deck chairs.

"The tenant contacted me by phone at around 8.15:10.15 a.m., and I arrived at the beach at around 10.50:XNUMX a.m., where his worker from Budva was waiting for me and showed me what there was to do on that beach. After that, I told him what materials he needed to buy, after which I returned to my apartment in the Rozino settlement and took the tools I needed to complete the repairs. When arriving at the beach, I passed through the TN "Slovenska plaža" and then returned through the park next to the tourist settlement that exits at the 'Tre canne' building. When arriving and leaving the beach, I did not meet anyone from the political group 'Budva our city', I only know that around XNUMX:XNUMX a.m., SP called me and said, 'you set us up for the Mitrovićs to attack us'. I told him that was not true and that I did not know what was happening, after which he hung up," Zejak stated in his police report.

He adds that members of the political group "Budva our city" have accused him several times of being a member of the OKG, of being a "scoundrel".

"I believe that they are targeting me and I ask the police officers to take all measures and actions within their jurisdiction, in accordance with their authorities, to protect me, and to prosecute the responsible persons against whom I filed a report before the competent judicial authorities," Zejak concluded in his report.
