"Anti-state" activities continue, this time it is the official statistics agency Monstat, announced today the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) MP in the Parliament of Montenegro, Nikola Milović.

He reacted to the allegations of State Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism Vuk Žižić, who said that Milović's "ill-intentioned" statement about the tourist season in Montenegro represents anti-state activity, where damage to Montenegro is sought at all costs.

"The number of overnight stays in all types of accommodation for the period January - June this year is 272 thousand or 5,4 percent lower than the same period last year, Monstat officially announced," said Milović, citing data from the Vijesti article titled "Overnight stays 272 thousand fewer, bad trend continues even during peak hours", which was published today.

He added that, when we add to this that total tourist traffic in 2024 decreased by 3,4 percent compared to 2023, it is obvious what kind of current tourist season we are talking about.

"Mr. Žižić, I congratulate you and the Minister on your historic achievements," Milović concluded.
