The Zeta SNP committee also nominated Slađana Kaluđerović for president, the Plav committee nominated Šćekić, and the Cetinje committee nominated Joković.

The Zeta branch of the Socialist People's Party (SNP) has proposed the following candidates for the party's leadership: Vice President and MP Slađana Kaluđerović, current President Vladimir Joković, and Vice President Dragoslav Šćekić.

They held a session ahead of the SNP Congress, scheduled for August 30th.

"The session was chaired by the President of the Municipal Board, Branko Noković, who on that occasion presented the results of the work in the previous period. He particularly emphasized the importance of opening the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture in Zeta, which represents a key step for the development of this agricultural area. Also, the imminent opening of the Youth Center was announced, as well as other important institutions that will further improve the quality of life of our fellow citizens," the statement reads.

Satisfaction with the work of the Public Institution KIC Zeta was also noted, which, as they said, Noković successfully manages, which "further confirms the responsible and dedicated approach of the SNP when it takes over the management of public institutions."

Ahead of the Congress, 12 delegates were elected who, together with seven members of the Main Committee from Zeta, will participate in the election of the SNP president.

"Also, the Municipal Board elected four members of the Main Board for the next convocation - equally represented by gender (two men and two women), with a reminder that by function, members of the Municipal Board and MP Kaluđerović and the President of the Municipal Assembly Noković are also members of the Main Board," the statement reads.

"Particular satisfaction was highlighted," they added, with the work of MP Slađana Kaluđerović - "both through proposing legal solutions of importance for the entire society, and through the concrete results achieved in the territory of Zeta". They said that "her dedication, recognition and active attitude towards the needs of citizens confirm the values for which the SNP stands".

"The members of the Committee also gave full support to Slavko Vukčević, an SNP official and member of the Railway Transport Committee, in his fight to relocate the collector from Botun - one of the key environmental issues for our region," the statement reads.

The session "emphasized the importance of preserving the unity of the party after the Congress". "It was clearly communicated that the SNP is a party with deep roots in the people and in the foundation of the statehood of Montenegro. Our goal remains clear - networking and strengthening both within the Zeta Municipal Committee and through cooperation with all party bodies across the country".

They said that the SNP has proven that it is "a political force that, through its actions, both in words and deeds, deserves the trust of citizens." "We are proud of what we have achieved, but even more determined to continue on the path of development, responsibility and stability. We see the upcoming Congress as a regular and healthy phase in our growth, which will further strengthen us," the SNP said.

"Only Šćekić can restore the old glory"

The Plav SNP committee, at its meeting on August 13, unanimously nominated Vice President Dragoslav Šćekić as the party's leader.

The committee's proposal, they said, is based on his "previous work results and merits in the field of affirming and strengthening the SNP of Montenegro and the SNP at the local level in Plav."

"We believe that Dragoslav Dado Sćekić is currently the only person who can strengthen the trust of citizens and party members in the program goals of the SNP in the coming period and restore the SNP's former glory," the statement reads.

"Joković is a leader who understands the needs of citizens"

The Cetinje SNP unanimously nominated Joković for a new term as the party's leader.

Members of the Cetinje committee emphasized that "this support comes as a result of his dedicated work, consistency and ability to unite the party in a time of great political challenges," the statement said.

"Vladimir Joković is a leader who understands the needs of citizens and fights for the interests of all our members and supporters. His work so far has shown that the SNP can be a strong and stable pillar on the political scene of Montenegro," said the Cetinje SNP.

They add that the unanimous decision "sends a clear message that Cetinje stands by the policy of unity, responsibility and perseverance," believing that this is the best path for the party's future.
