Popović: Gorjanc Prelević is trying to play the victim

Democratic Party MP Zdenka Popović said that the portal press.co.me has nothing to do with that party, and that the executive director of the Human Rights Action (HRA) Tea Gorjanc Prelević is trying to "play the victim".

"On the one hand, you are opening a public controversy by standing behind the most serious possible accusations, vomit and nonsense that Lazar Šćepanović, Danilo Šaranović, Aleksa Bečić, Anđela Vojinović, Boris Bogdanović are members of a criminal organization because, lo and behold, they fight or support the vetting process in the police and the fight against all forms of crime, and then when your house of cards collapses with the argumentation and credibility of the performer, you run the other way, trying to quite transparently and pathetically play the victim, who is allegedly being attacked by someone. In this acting, you get carried away by a flood of subterfuge and untruths at our expense. This one today, Ms. Gorjanc Prelević, is the most transparent, and this is best evidenced by the fact that the Democrats were attacked on the same portal, among other things, during the election of the police director, of which I am attaching proof," the reaction reads.

He claims that the HRA director is trying to deceive citizens.

"So, we are sorry, Mrs. Gorjanc Prelević, but that portal has nothing to do with the Democrats. The entire public knows that, and you know it too. But you needed another spin, another untruth, another attempt to deceive citizens and get us into your constructions and the theater you are creating. Montenegro is small, so the path to the truth is much easier, because we all know each other well. Ultimately, attempts to divert focus or play the victim will not stop the fight against crime, the fight for a country with the rule of law and the process of eliminating from the system all those who have not served the state. That is why I fully support the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Police Department, the Prosecutor's Office, and yesterday's historic action to seize narcotics plantations, the other day's crackdown on environmental crime, the dismantling of the tobacco mafia, all other forms of crime, as well as vetting in the Police Administration and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Long live vetting, long live decriminalized Montenegro," said the Democratic MP.
