Popović: I'm a woman too, in case you forgot, thank you for your sincere fight and concern for women's rights

Zdenka Popović reminded that she is also a woman and thanked the members of non-governmental organizations, activists, journalists and directors who signed a statement expressing protest over, as it is alleged, the attack by the Democratic Party MP on human rights defender Tea Gorjanc Prelević for their sincere fight and concern for women's rights.

The statement signed by 61 women states that Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Zdenka Popović - a Democratic MP, member of the Women's Leadership Network and co-president of the Women's Club of the Parliament - shows unquestioning loyalty to her party leaders and the leadership of the security sector, instead of affirming gender equality and democratic dialogue.

"I am a woman too, in case any of you have forgotten. Thank you for your sincere fight and concern for women's rights. And yes, a woman is a lioness to a woman, I agree," Popović said in response to this statement.
