Social Democrat MP and European Alliance representative Nikola Zirojević said that it is not surprising that Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and Democratic MP Zdenka Popović defends Europe Now MP Branka Marković.
"Not because they are both women, but because where Branka has a permanent solution at the Airports, Zdenka has permanent solutions at the Central Bank of Montenegro and CEDIS. And the chair is our nation, we realized that a long time ago," Zirojević said.
He says that, before her statement today, he was surprised that, after "reading the empty statement" from the PES Women's Association, the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, whom he called "Zdenka Petrol", had not spoken out on the same topic.
"Because how could this happen without Zdenka, who is convincingly manipulating the topic of women's vulnerability in politics in the best possible way, while at the same time, behind the scenes, she employs one son in the Central Bank of Montenegro, during the time of the DPS she hates, and the other, shortly after the change of government, in the liberated CEDIS. While Popović trumpets women's rights, at the same time he puts the burden of his own abuses on a young contractor whose name and surname have never been publicly announced, and who has absolutely nothing to do with the case and we all know that," Zirojević announced.
He said that such behavior best speaks of "Zdenka Popović's human characteristics," and "when you're not a human, it matters the least whether you're a man or a woman."
"And no, colleague Popović will not get away with the slogan she often uses in discussions with colleagues, how can she be our mother, because she cannot be my mother even in her wildest dreams. Because, unlike Zdenka's children who enjoy benefits thanks to party employment and nepotism, I fought for my position on my own. And when you point that out to them, then you are automatically incorrect, sexist, misogynistic and otherwise manipulative," the statement reads.
