Social Democrat MP and European Alliance representative Nikola Zirojević said that there is no room for his criminal or misdemeanor liability in connection with the report filed against him by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and Democratic Party MP Zdenka Popović, due to, as she claims, the insults he made in yesterday's statement.
He gave a statement today at the Podgorica Security Department.
"There is no room for any criminal or misdemeanor liability. My colleague Zdenka Petrol employed one of her sons at the Central Bank during the hated DPS, and another after 2020 at the liberated CEDIS. The police were correct and told me to come when I could," Zirojević told reporters in front of the police station.
He recalls that more than a year ago he reported Europe Now Movement official Tihomir Dragaš, but that, as he said, no action was taken upon his report. "To be precise, only I was questioned."
"In the statement I gave to the Police Directorate, I said that, if the authorities decide that I am guilty, I am ready to compensate my colleague Zdenko Petrol in the appropriate amount of crackers or diesel fuel," said Zirojević.
He claims that the official vehicle, which consumed 3.200 euros in fuel in ten months last year, was owed by Popović, and that the contractor was left without a job.
"The Parliament of Montenegro is small and everything is found out, including how the card was used," said Zirojević.
He added that he will not provide information to the competent institutions, because he is not responsible for that, but if they had investigated, they would have found it.
