The Prosecutorial Council once again appealed to the Parliament to urgently elect members of that body from among reputable lawyers, emphasizing that only the Prosecutorial Council in its full composition can exercise the powers prescribed by the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office.
"At its 13th session held on October 2, 2025, the Prosecutorial Council expressed its full readiness and determination to establish full accountability and to effectively take action to remove doubts that may undermine citizens' trust in the work of the prosecutor's office and ensure the integrity of every prosecutor, and in this regard, it made a renewed appeal to the Parliament of Montenegro to, in accordance with its constitutional powers, urgently elect members of the Prosecutorial Council from among reputable lawyers, because only the Prosecutorial Council in its full composition can exercise the powers prescribed by the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office," the statement reads.
At its session, the Council decided to elect Miroslav Turković, a special prosecutor in the Special State Prosecutor's Office, as disciplinary prosecutor.
The Council's Work Plan for the period October-December 2025 was also adopted.
