MPs from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) have asked the Police Directorate to protect the party's MP Aleksandra Vuković Kuč, whose phone number was published on the social network X.
"Regarding the scandalous post circulating on the social network X, within the framework of which, among other things, the private phone number of the Vice President and DPS MP Aleksandra Vuković Kuč was published, we demand an immediate response from the Police Directorate. Therefore, we ask the Police Directorate to urgently and without delay carry out all actions within its jurisdiction, identify and prosecute the person behind this profile, who is consciously and intentionally targeting MP Vuković Kuč, shamelessly violating her privacy and ultimately endangering her safety," reads the statement signed by DPS MPs Zoja Bojanić Lalović, Sonja Popović, Aleksandra Despotović and Drita Lola.
They add that they know that Vuković Kuč is a "political threat to supporters of Chetnik ideology and deniers of Montenegro":
"Hence this dose of fear and cowardice that manifests itself through these and similar pathetic announcements that aim to scare and stop her from defending this country with all her might from all those who are ill-intentioned towards its vitally important interests. However, let it be clear to them - all their efforts are in vain. In conclusion, since the competent authorities in Montenegro are quick when it comes to protecting government representatives, which we have seen in the example of the relationship with the mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, we demand their prompt, conscientious and professional relationship with this case in which a politician who is an uncompromising fighter for Montenegro is being targeted," the statement reads.
