Ambassador Olivera Injac presented her letters of credence to King Philip, officially assuming the duties of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Belgium.
"In a cordial and meaningful conversation, King Philip congratulated Ambassador Injac on assuming office, expressing his belief that her mandate will contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries. He emphasized that Montenegro has the status of a leader in the European integration process and reiterated Belgium's readiness to provide full support in achieving that goal," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
Injac, they add, thanked Belgium for its continued support for Montenegro's European path, and pointed to the reforms that our country is implementing with the aim of joining the European Union as soon as possible.
She emphasized that her mandate will be dedicated to the further development of friendly relations and strengthening bilateral cooperation, with special emphasis on the areas of economy, investment, tourism, energy and education.
"During the talks, it was assessed that Montenegro and Belgium foster close relations, based on the NATO alliance and common European values, and that they share a commitment to stability, democracy and the rule of law," the statement reads.
