The Justice and Reconciliation Party (SPP) in Montenegro has expressed concern over the failure to fulfill its promise to recognize Montenegrin driver's licenses in Germany, according to a statement signed by the party's president and member of the presidency, Admir Camić.
Although, as the statement further states, it was announced that they would be formally recognized by the end of 2025, the agreement has still not been signed, while our citizens in Germany have been waiting for more than eight years.
"According to information, all 16 federal states of Germany have given a positive opinion for recognition, but Montenegrin citizens still face administrative and financial obstacles. This is especially important for members of our diaspora who work in sectors where driving is key. The Justice and Reconciliation Party in Montenegro and the Diaspora calls on the Prime Minister of Montenegro (Milojko Spajić), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Diaspora, as well as the Montenegrin Embassy in Germany, to urgently take all necessary steps to speed up the process of recognition of driving licenses and complete it as soon as possible," the party said in a statement, adding that they remain committed to protecting the interests of their citizens and fighting for their rights in the country and the diaspora.
