Montenegro is making decisive progress in the European integration process, with the aim of becoming the 28th member of the European Union (EU) by 2028, said Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović.
In a post on the X network, he stated that Montenegro is closing negotiation chapters and implementing reforms to meet the goal of becoming the 28th member of the EU by 2028.
"In addition, Montenegro is at the forefront of fulfilling the Reform Agenda, it recently joined SEPA, and from the beginning of next year, citizens will not pay roaming costs in EU countries. These are just some of the tangible benefits that citizens and the economy will feel," said Ivanović.
He pointed out that, with a strong investment momentum, new projects and the expressed support of EU institutions, as evidenced by the clear messages of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the realization of the vision of Montenegro as a prosperous state for all its citizens and the first future member of the EU is becoming increasingly certain.
