President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović said at today's session of the Parliament of Montenegro that vetting is extremely important for the recovery of Montenegrin society.
This was announced by the Public Relations Office of the President of Montenegro.
As Milatović said, it is necessary to conduct vetting in the prosecution, judiciary, but also in the Parliament and Government of Montenegro.
"Because it is this house that ultimately, directly or indirectly, elects prosecutors, judges, and judges of the Constitutional Court, and passes laws," Milatović pointed out in the Parliament during a debate at the session where MPs will vote on the election of Mirjana Vučinić, Jovan Jovanović, and Mirjana Radović as judges of the Constitutional Court.
He said that the entire Montenegrin public is aware of certain facts.
"That behind certain MPs, the assets of these or those clans are hidden, that certain MPs may not vote according to their conscience, but according to directives, undermining the state budget and state interests, while protecting personal, narrow, party interests. That is why I call on everyone to implement vetting in the prosecution, vetting in the judiciary, but also vetting in the Parliament and the Government of Montenegro," said President Milatović.
