Members of the Montenegrin Parliament today discussed the candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court, proposed by the Constitutional Committee and President Jakov Milatović, whose election in the first round of voting required a two-thirds majority in the Parliament, or 54 votes.
Milatović previously submitted a proposal to the Parliament to elect Mirjana Vučinić as a judge of the Constitutional Court, while the Constitutional Committee proposed Mirjana Radović and Jovan Jovanović.
Given that the candidates did not receive the required majority in the first round, a second round of voting will be organized within a month at the earliest, in which, according to the Constitution, three-fifths support is required, or the votes of 49 MPs.
Rotations in the Civic Movement URA
At today's session, MPs also voted for appointments that occurred due to rotation in the Civic Movement URA.
The leader and MP of the Civic Movement URA, Dritan Abazović, will be a member of the Committee on Security and Defense.
Due to the rotation of the party's MPs, Ana Novaković Đurović and Filip Adžić resigned from their parliamentary positions, and were replaced by Milena Vuković and Zoran Mikić.
Mikić will replace Abazović in the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration, and will also be a member of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, and the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning.
Vuković will be a member of the Administrative Committee in the coming period, and in the Committee on Labor and Social Welfare she will replace her colleague Miloš Konatar, while he will be a member of the Committee on European Integration.
