MP and Vice President of the Civic Movement URA Milena Vuković spoke in the Parliament of Montenegro with representatives of the NGO "Prima" Aida Perović and Anđela Žarić.
The reason for the meeting, as announced by the URA Police Headquarters, was Vuković's recent initiative regarding amendments to the Criminal Code to introduce stricter penalties for sexual abuse of a child.
"During the meeting, the improvement of the legal framework was discussed, primarily related to penal policy, and it was jointly concluded that the minimum sentences for the aforementioned criminal offenses must be increased. At the meeting, representatives of the NGO 'Prima' introduced MP Vuković to their work, projects and topics they are working on, and it was jointly agreed that greater attention would be paid to this important topic in the future, both through parliamentary initiatives and other forms of activity," it was announced.
