The enlargement of the European Union is not a technical, but a geopolitical issue - Europe must be integral with the Western Balkans, said the Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Aleksandar Bogdanović, at the congress of the Party of European Socialists in Amsterdam.
DPS announced that the event brought together the European left around "ideas of solidarity, unity and EU enlargement."
"For Montenegro, mobilization means defending democracy, institutions and the European path. EU enlargement is not a technical, but a geopolitical issue – Europe must be integral with the Western Balkans," Bogdanović said on that occasion.
DPS says that they strongly advocate the European perspective of the region - because Europe is not complete without the Western Balkans.
"With our friends from Europe, we affirm that unity and solidarity remain the foundation of the strength and future of a common Europe," the party said.
