The political majority in Montenegro has always consistently voted for the bad, worse or worst and regularly rejected the better or best, and if it were not so, Montenegro would have been ruled independently by the reformists, the Liberal Alliance (LSCG) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) since the 1990s, the Civic Initiative "21 May" announced.
They say that for 35 years, citizens have been "prisoners of their regressive beliefs, frivolity, questionable political morality, and wrong decisions."
"Except for the restoration of statehood or the dominant digestive support for EU membership, the Montenegrin majority supported parties out of petty personal interest or opted blindly or followed the whims of the reactionary Serbian Orthodox Church or 'cleverly' favored fraudulent parties. Therefore, it is not surprising that the political majority has always consistently voted for the bad, worse or worst and neatly rejected the better or best. If it were not so, Montenegro would have been independently ruled by the reformists, LSCG and SDP since the 1990s. This is also the reason why the contemporary 'pro-European Montenegro' is marked by the politics of the kleptocratic and hypocritical DPS, Greater Serbian proxy parties or populist and deceptive parties such as the Democrats, PES or Ura. If the anti-party and reformist civic list does not dismantle this rotten political order in the upcoming elections, the current parliamentary parties can continue to ruin in a traditional, informant and clerical spirit the country and the society we live in," the statement reads.
