The Party of European Progress welcomes every visit and every promise that means progress for Mojkovac, but after five years of stagnation, terminated contracts, suspended work and unacknowledged responsibilities, citizens no longer have the patience for photo shoots and announcements without clear deadlines and reports on what was stopped and why, said Mitar Vidaković, a member of the leadership of the Party of European Progress.
He also listed what projects had been completed by summer 2020 and what was ongoing:
- The total investment volume from December 2016 to the end of August 2020 in Mojkovac is 12 million euros, and active contracts at that time total 21 million euros.
- completed promenade on the site of the former tailings pond, accompanying facilities; part of the fecal sewage system to the WWTP and part of the water supply system; reconstruction of city roads (Nemanjića Street, the street next to the cemetery); modernization of the local road Pržište - Žarski and rehabilitation of local roads.

- Žarski Ski Center: 17,5 million euros contracted so far, 7 million euros realized; Part I of the Vragodo-Vrioce-Žarski Katun access road completed (2,3km, supporting structures, slope stabilization); Phase I of the base station contracted for 1,5 million euros (deadline 10 months), Phase II estimated at around 1,5 million euros; preparations for EE and water supply were underway.
- Transfer station + recycling yard: 1,9 million euros contracted, 1,2 million realized, completion date planned for the end of 2020.
- Business zone: transformer station and road 1 million euros – completed.

- ZIKS facility (Mojkovac prison): financing from CEB loan 15.000.000 euros + WBIF grant 1.200.000 euros - started in the preparatory analysis and design phase.
Vidaković states that Mojkovac had a clear investment momentum by mid-2020.
"What followed – interruptions, terminations, delays and political repackaging – are the reason why today we hear the same promises for the same projects. Those who are making promises today for the umpteenth time – have been direct brakers since the first days of 2021," said Vidaković.
He also listed what they are looking for today:
- Public plan with clear deadlines for Žarski, footbridge/square, bridge/connection and environmental projects, quarterly reports, penalty clauses.
- Audit of all terminated contracts 2020–2025 and announcement of damage to Mojkovac.
- "Green Mojkovac": Phase II of tailings site facilities (sports/family zones), completion of transfer station, full recycling capacity.
- Open budget and real-time procurement: citizens can track every invoice.
"It is good that the highest officials are talking about projects again, but Mojkovac will not forgive them for holding them back until yesterday. The citizens of Mojkovac remember very well the presentation of the 2021 budget, which was, among other things, created in the then ministry of Jakov Milatović, where it was openly announced for Mojkovac that projects were being suspended. Because of all this, it is unacceptable to keep silent about the reasons why Mojkovac wasted time, residents and opportunities for five years. Mojkovac is not looking for applause at a press conference, but a crane on the construction site, contracts on the site and salaries in newly opened jobs. The Party of European Progress will support every good decision, but we will expose every delay and every deception, and the actors of deception and stopping projects, all in the interest of the citizens of Mojkovac," said Vidaković.
