"When the Bijelo Polje local parliament session is followed by a reaction from the president and a statement from the local DPS board, this shows that the initiative to dismiss Petar Smolović caused panic in the DPS OM," said PES councilor Dražen Petrić.
"First, it is true that I did not work in local and state bodies because the field did not recognize me as a collector of reliable votes. Let the citizens value my competences and councilor work, and you prepare better arguments for the next session so that after my 'populist' comments you do not have to convene party bodies again and react with hindsight. Secondly, there is no need to pose dilemmas that do not exist. PES made a key contribution in chapters 23 and 24, which are important in the fight against corruption and crime. It is precisely because of such steps and readiness for reforms that we will introduce Montenegro into the EU and that is what you cannot forgive us for. Also, not because of you, but because of the citizens, I cannot renounce something that I had nothing to do with, but it is certain that I have never supported Radovan Karadžić, whom you awarded," Petrić said.
He pointed out that the best evidence of how successful Smolović is is the fact that after his first term, they did not appoint him as the leader of the list because they knew that his results did not recommend him to the citizens.
