The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Turkey announced that, in response to the events in Montenegro, measures have been taken to ensure the safety of Turkish citizens and that they are continuously maintaining contacts with the Montenegrin authorities.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry website states that "some distressing events that also affected our citizens" occurred in Montenegro over the past weekend.
"Immediately after the events began, contact was established with the Montenegrin authorities, and the necessary measures were taken to ensure the safety of our citizens," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
They stated that they are closely monitoring the development of the situation.
"The development of the situation is being closely monitored in all aspects, and contacts and coordination with the Montenegrin authorities are being continuously maintained," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
