Milatović: EC report confirms that Montenegro remains the most advanced candidate country

Head of State Jakov Milatović, in a statement to Brussels-based Politico, assessed that today's report by the European Commission confirms that Montenegro remains the most advanced candidate country.

"I believe that the time has come for the European Union (EU) to support our ambition with a clear political signal - by starting the drafting of the Accession Treaty," said Milatović.

This, according to Milatović, would represent "a recognition of our progress and a strategic investment."
