The People's Trust Movement (PNP) welcomed the latest European Commission report on Montenegro, emphasizing that it confirms that Montenegro is making visible and recognized progress on the path to full membership in the European Union.
"The report clearly shows that the reforms being implemented in the areas of the rule of law, economic development and strengthening of institutions have yielded concrete results and that Montenegro remains the most advanced candidate country in the region. The movement believes that this document represents an encouraging confirmation that Montenegro is on the right path - towards European values, social responsibility and political stability," the political movement said in a statement.
Reform processes, although demanding, are increasingly yielding results that bring citizens a better standard of living, greater trust in institutions, and a clearer perspective on the European future, it added.
"It is particularly encouraging that the state's determination to continue strengthening the rule of law and the uncompromising fight against organized crime and corruption has been recognized. It is precisely this fight that represents one of the basic programmatic commitments of the People's Trust Movement - creating a society in which justice, equality and responsibility are the foundation of every success," said the People's Trust Movement.
In that political movement, they expressed their belief that these results show that Montenegro has the strength, knowledge and political will to fulfill all remaining obligations in the accession process and that it can realistically achieve the goal - membership in the European Union in the coming years.
"Therefore, the Movement remains committed to supporting all reforms that strengthen institutions, increase citizens' trust and enable Montenegro to be a country of equal opportunities, developed regions and European living standards for all," the statement concludes.
