During today's meeting of the heads of councilor clubs in the Zeta Municipal Assembly (SO) ahead of the next session of the assembly, an attack was carried out on our councilors, during which the head of the NSD councilor club, Anastasija Damjanović, had two fingers broken and the head of the DNP councilor club, Vesko Rašović, suffered serious physical injuries in the form of bruises, hematomas and cuts to the head, the coalition For the Future of Zeta announced today.

"He was attacked by the president of the DPS councilors' club and former municipal president Dušan Radonjić, unprovoked for physically attacking Rašović. At the beginning of the meeting, he attacked him while he was sitting and struck him several times in the face with a closed fist, then knocked him to the floor where he continued to beat him brutally. During the separation, councilor Damjanović was also injured, as she was trying to separate councilor Radonjić, who had attacked the president of the DNP club," the statement said.

The coalition For the Future of Zeta added that they expect "an urgent reaction from the competent authorities, the detention of Radonjić because such people have no place not only on the council benches but also on the streets."

"We will monitor the development of the situation, the president of the DNP club has filed a police report, injuries to two of our councilors have been confirmed, and we will attach documentation and expect the crazed Radonjić to be detained for this heinous act," the statement from the For the Future of Zeta coalition concludes.
