Brajović: Physical attack in Zeta Municipal Council is an act of cowardice, not courage, we will personally participate in seeking justice

The physical attack in the Zeta Municipal Assembly (MA) is an act of cowardice, not courage, said the president of the Zeta branch of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) Miroslav Brajović, calling for accountability for all participants in the incident.

The Zeta branch of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) previously assessed that the incident that occurred in the Zeta Municipality building was the result of years of inappropriate behavior by government representatives, which, they said, was often aimed at undermining the integrity and dignity of DPS representatives.

Brajović said that from the statement of the leaders of the Municipal Board (OO) of DPS Zeta, it can be concluded that there is no end to the arrogance and arrogance.

He recalled that in a recent incident in the Zeta Municipal Assembly, DPS councilor Dušan Radonjić physically attacked his colleague, councilor Vesko Rašović, and on that occasion caused serious bodily injuries to him and NSD councilor Anastasija Damjanović.

"Causing serious bodily harm to a human being who is closer to their seventh decade of life than their sixth, breaking two fingers of a person who could biologically be your daughter, among us Zećani, that has never been called courage, but cowardice," Brajović said in his reaction.

Brajović pointed out that no DPS Zeta official reacted or apologized to the injured councilors.

He recalled previous situations in which, as he said, he had publicly reacted when insults occurred in the local parliament, demanding an apology "not out of fear, but out of respect for the victim."

"Where have we lost that elementary human and Zeta thing - to not stand in solidarity with the bully, but with the victim," Brajović asked.

He thanked Damjanović for the "brave, great and humane" act, emphasizing that it prevented more serious consequences of the physical conflict.

Brajović said that the NSD joins the DPS's appeal for the competent authorities to react in accordance with the law.

"We will personally participate in seeking justice and try to ensure that justice is served, so that no one will ever think of such a barbaric act again in the future," Brajović added.
