The coalition "For the Future of Budva" will in the future appear in the Budva parliament as three councilor clubs: "SNP - For the Future of Budva", NSD - For the Future of Budva" and "DNP - For the Future of Budva".
This was announced at today's press conference by the leader of the Budva SNP, Krsto Rađenović, emphasizing that the coalition will continue to be united and have common positions, and that this decision is of a technical nature.
"The reasons are that in the future, instead of one, we will have three representatives at the collegium of the President of the Municipal Assembly. The second reason is that during the assembly discussions, we will have more opportunities to speak as representatives of the three councilor clubs," emphasized Radjenovic.
NSD councilor Nemanja Kuljača called on the prosecution to finally act, pointing to the illegal appointment of the Municipal Election Commission, where, despite clear legal provisions, the coalition "For the Future of Budva", which had the most votes, and the position of the State Election Commission confirming this, was not awarded the positions of president and secretary of the MEC.
"The problem is that the coalition agreement 'For the Future of Budva' that we submitted to the Municipal Election Commission has disappeared in a way unknown to us. We are also prevented from replacing councilors. The leader of the list, Mladen Mikijelj, who resigned from his councilor position due to a conflict of interest, has had his seat left vacant by the actions of the president of the Municipal Assembly, Petar Odžić, who is not allowing the position to be filled. This is why the Municipal Assembly is truncated, because although the law requires 33 councilors based on the number of inhabitants, it functions with one councilor less. That is why we appeal to state authorities to get involved," said Kuljača.
Stressing that there is no room for any manipulations, but rather that the coalition is still united, DNP councilor Jovana Todorović called on the prosecution to "finally wake up and come to Budva" and see what is being done, because the Municipal Assembly is functioning illegally because it has fewer councilors.
