The People's Trust Movement (PNP) announced today that the first Municipal Board has been formed, in Herceg Novo, and that Igor Svilanović has been elected president.
According to the statement, the board is made up of 90 percent young people and 50 percent women.
"Igor Svilanović, a business management specialist, was elected president of the municipal board, while the following vice presidents were elected: Branko Vuković, mechanical engineer, Ivana Pavlović, law graduate, Milica Zečević, pharmaceutical technician, and Bojana Dabažinović, pharmaceutical technician - a team that combines energy, responsibility, and modern political standards," the statement said.
"Everyone who wants to get involved, to contribute or to share their views is welcome. The space is open, the conversation is open, and most importantly – the doors are wide open for everyone who carries within them the idea that the community can be better, more modern and fairer. It is time for a new generation of leaders. Young people are taking the stage," said Svilanović in his address.
Dragoslav Dado Šćekić, leader of the Movement, also addressed the members of the newly formed board present.
"The focus is on ideas, solutions and practical steps – on creating a space where every voice will be heard, every good initiative supported, and every new person welcomed as an important part of the place we are building together. This is the beginning of a different story in Montenegro. And the best is yet to come," said Šćekić.
The founder of PNP is the current Minister of Sports and Youth, Dragoslav Šćekić.
He previously told "Vijesti" that the founding congress of the PNP will be held in March or April next year.
Šćekić created the party after recently leaving the SNP, of which he was vice president.
