The government that rewards the greatest state awards to forgers and deniers of Montenegro, and prosecutes and punishes free citizens who opposed this state disgrace, is nothing more than an anti-Montenegrin, anti-civic - in a word, a shameful government, announced the president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and one of the leaders of the European Alliance, Ivan Vujović.
"If you think, gentlemen from the government and the repressive apparatus, that we will remain silent about the humiliation of the state and its brightest anti-fascist symbolism embodied in July 13th, which you have sullied by awarding the highest award to a forger and petty offender, you are sorely mistaken. If you now think that by practicing strictness towards 35 free people - patriots, who expressed their protest against the state's disgrace, you will intimidate anyone, you are even more mistaken," Vujović said.
"We know that Bećir is a valuable landmark for you, we know that you would be happiest if this state, in whose name you are unfortunately performing today, did not exist, and we know that you would most like to reduce it to folklore and a makeshift state, in Bećir's way. We know that many of you have done everything to prevent it from existing, but do not think that we will remain silent about the various nonsense you are doing against it, of which the awarding of the Thirteenth of July Award is one of the biggest, in an otherwise very strong competition on August 30. Be sure that you will very quickly be ashamed of what you are doing now. Because, being on the side of Bećir and the promoters of Chetniks and fascism, and against a civic and anti-fascist Montenegro, inevitably leads you to defeat. Who knows what defeat in a row of politics and the value system you have decided to serve," said the SDP president.
