No matter how much you intimidate and threaten to abuse the repressive apparatus, you cannot stop the resistance to the fascism of society, said Andrija Nikolić, the head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), at today's parliamentary session.
He said this in response to the fact that the Police Directorate filed 35 misdemeanor charges a few days ago against people who protested in front of the "Gorica" villa in early July on the occasion of the awarding of the July Thirteenth Award to Bećir Vuković.
"A few days ago, the Police Department informed the public that it had filed 35 misdemeanor charges against people who protested in July over the awarding of the July 13th Award. People rebelled and they had every right to do so, because the highest state award has been rendered meaningless, all in order to promote chauvinism," said Nikolić.

He stated that "those people who were in the so-called people's patrols were not sprayed with spray or tear gas."
"... When chauvinism and xenophobia were rampant on the streets of Podgorica, when Turks were threatened with those famous cries of 'Kill, slaughter so that no Turk exists'," he recalled.
After the incident that occurred on October 25 in the Podgorica neighborhood of Zabjelo, in which Podgorica resident MJ was injured, so-called "people's patrols" walked the streets accompanied by police, calling for the expulsion of Turkish citizens.
Nikolić said that the state and its institutions had shown recognition and honor to "the people it had put in the dock."
"I want to tell everyone - no matter how much you intimidate and threaten to abuse the repressive apparatus, you cannot stop the resistance to the fascism of society. All of us will be on the streets," he stressed.
