The largest investments and budget allocations in the security sector are ready with the aim of modernizing and digitalizing work processes, said Aleksa Bečić, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro for Security, Defense, Fight against Crime and Internal Policy.
As announced by Bečić's office, today the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) will publish a list of nearly 370 candidates who successfully completed the Public Call for the Recruitment of Young Police Officers, and Bečić congratulated them.
"If we add to this the graduates of the 17th generation of the Police Academy, to whom we presented their diplomas a few days ago, we come to the conclusion that around 500 young educated people will start working at the Police Directorate in the coming days and weeks," said Bečić.
He added that the above represents the largest personnel injection in the recent history of the security sector.
"The process of major personnel renewal continues with new public calls that will follow soon. We are preserving healthy experience and professionals in the system, strengthening the system with new energy and young people, and at the same time, in accordance with legal mechanisms and obligations, the system is being cleansed of all unauthorized influences and compromised personnel. Bečić also said that numerous inherited deficits are being remedied, that authorities are cracking down on all forms of crime without reservation or protection, and that international cooperation and trust have never been better.
"A system is being healed and built that guarantees strong institutions, modern equipment, true professionals in decision-making positions, which is the best guarantee of a resilient system and a strong state," concluded Bečić.
