Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabić (Serbian Progressive Party) said that by recognizing Kosovo, Montenegro violated international law, the United Nations Charter, and basic respect for Serbia.
She stated this in a response to Boris Pejović, a member of the Presidency of the Europe Now Movement and Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, who said today that he expects Brnabić to advocate for the extradition of Svetozar Marović.
"Well, I've met all kinds of fraudsters in politics, but not like this. Is Svetozar Marović a thorn in your side?? Not to mention that this man helped you win the elections - we're already entering the realm of morality, and I see that you're not familiar with that concept. Let me try to explain it to you more clearly: you're talking about the extradition of one man and you're blaming us, you who tried to take away 14% of our territory by recognizing the so-called 'Republic of Kosovo'," Brnabić wrote on Iks.
She said that Serbia did not take either Ulcinj or Pljevlja from Montenegro.
"But you violated international law, the UN Charter, but also basic respect for Serbia and recognized a fake state, taking away a significant part of our country in terms of territory, and in terms of heart the most significant part. If we are talking about the EU, neither Spain, nor Cyprus, nor Romania, nor Slovakia, nor Greece did that, but Montenegro did. Humanity as such... And the rule of law, especially international law...", she added.
