The new speaker of the Kotor parliament will be from the Grbaljska list and will most likely be elected at the first session of the new convocation scheduled for Tuesday, "Vijesti" has learned.
This was confirmed to the newspaper by a source from one of the ruling parties in that city.
The first session of the new convocation is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 am and has two items on the agenda - verifying the mandates of the councilors and electing the president of the local assembly. The source could not confirm to "Vijesti" which parties will enter the government.
The Kotor elections were held on September 29th last year, but due to complaints regarding two polling stations, they could not be completed until December of this year.
On December 3, the Constitutional Court rejected the appeal of the Kotor branch of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), filed last fall, which, as announced by the institution, created the conditions for the announcement of the final election results.
According to preliminary election results, DPS and the Democrats - Europe Now Movement (PES) coalition each won ten seats in the Kotor parliament, the "For the Future of Kotor" alliance, Grbaljska Lista and Democratic Alternative each won three, the European Alliance two, and the Croatian Civic Initiative and the Kotor Movement each won a seat.
