While the Government is suspending the recognition of diplomas earned at Megatrend, numerous Megatrend members are sitting in the parliamentary majority, Sonja Popović, spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), announced today.
"It is undeniable that the decision of the Government of Montenegro to suspend the recognition of diplomas obtained at Megatrend University for the purpose of employment in order to protect the public interest is justified. Likewise, it is also undeniable that numerous Megatrend members sit in the parliamentary majority. And lo and behold - usually these great lawyers with fake diplomas from the aforementioned University are the most vocal in the story of law, justice and the judiciary, the noisiest in the announcements of grandiose arrests that are taking place across Montenegro as a result of the criminal association of the prosecution and politics," Popović pointed out in a statement.
She added that it is an open secret that fake diplomas are also holding positions in the Government of Montenegro.
"It is clear that the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation faces a huge task of cleaning up purchased university titles, first from the ranks of the parliamentary majority. But the question is, if the relevant ministry embarks on this complex task, will this parliamentary majority exist in this form," said Popović.
In her words, "in the end, the bad times in Montenegro have come when its fate is decided by those who graduated from universities in another country, without having crossed the border."
"But the day is not far off when such ignorant, incompetent, uninvited to share moral lessons, and above all complexed Megatrend members will be where they deserve to be - on the margins of political life in Montenegro," said Popović.
The Government of Montenegro today decided to temporarily suspend the recognition of diplomas for employment purposes, obtained at Megatrend University in Serbia, in order to protect the public interest.
