As soon as this agony of institutions ends, I will propose to the Presidency of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) that we leave this bloody government, said the leader of that party, Milan Knežević.
From the police van, which he entered on his own initiative, Knežević said that Interior Minister Danilo Šaranović and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić should make an announcement, and that the National Security Council should meet due to the police's actions.
He also had a message for the parliamentary majority: "As Bata Živojinović would say in Lepi seli: let's not kiss."
The DNP MP is still in the police "marca", which he voluntarily entered after the police told him that the intervention in Botun was over. He has been in that vehicle for half an hour. When asked by a "Vijesti" reporter, one of the police officers said that the "marca" broke down and that is why he is still in Botun. Knežević is protected from arrest by parliamentary immunity.
The DNP leader said that Montenegro has not been the same since this morning.
"It's not my first time being in a van, but for some it will be the first time being in a van and in Spuž, due to the illegal behavior of the police and institutions and bodies of the state and the Capital City."
He said that he was in Botun as a citizen of Zeta.
"I don't care at all whether I have immunity or not, we swore to defend this plot with our bodies. I don't care at all about the Administrative Committee or the interpretation of whether or not I was arrested."
Knežević said that among those arrested were minors, the mayor of the municipality, Mihailo Asanović, as well as Asanović's father, who is over 70 years old.
"They arrested everyone they could. If they could arrest animals, they would have arrested them too. That's the best indication that nothing has changed in the police."

This morning, Knežević protested with locals in Botun against the construction of a wastewater treatment plant.
Some of the citizens, including Knežević, were left lying on the street because the police did not have police cars to take those detained away.
"They had an offer to arrest me and not apply repressive measures. Until this morning, I was a member of the parliamentary majority. What happened is not even remembered during the Đukanović dictatorship," he pointed out.
The DNP leader said that he had not yet had any communication with anyone from his party, but that he would propose leaving the Government.
He lay on the ground with several locals. When the police tried to arrest the four women, Knežević said he did not want to be separated from them.
"They arrested minor children, an 80-year-old man. These four women are still left. I'm staying here with them until the end. There's no retreat," said Knežević.
