The former Minister of Sports and Youth, Dragoslav Šćekić, thanked the Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and a large number of colleagues for the fair cooperation which, as he said, resulted in numerous successes and visible results in the field of sports and improving the position of youth in Montenegro.

Šćekiće especially thanked his loyal associates who spared no effort in their desire to improve the opportunities in Montenegrin sports.

"I would like to thank sports associations, federations, clubs, sports workers and athletes for the respect and trust shown to me in suggesting pressing problems," Šćekić said in a statement.

The Parliament of Montenegro unanimously dismissed Dragoslav Šćekić from the position of Minister of Sports and Youth.

44 MPs voted for this decision.

Minister without portfolio Milutin Butorović explained before the vote that it was a political decision that came about due to respect for the coalition agreement.

"I accepted Prime Minister Spajić's explanation, respecting his right to choose members of the Government and his desire to preserve its stability at this politically sensitive moment for Montenegro," said Šćekić.

He also thanked Buturović for the fair discussion in parliament and the media with which he cooperated as Minister of Sports and Youth.
