Peace and freedom are the most precious values, said Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Battle of Mojkovac.
Milatović announced on Facebook that the date also has a deep personal meaning for him.
"My great-grandfather was a participant in the Battle of Mojkovac, one of those people who, in the snow and cold, stood in defense of honor, freedom and alliance," Milatović said.
Therefore, as he said, the Battle of Mojkovac is not only a part of historical, but also family memory for him.
"That sacrifice obliges us today to remember without division, with reverence and responsibility, aware that peace and freedom are the most precious values we have," said Milatović.
