By congratulating the unconstitutional Republika Srpska Day, Andrija Mandić once again exposed the essence of his backward, anti-European policy, which is much more dangerous today, because he is implementing it from the position of President of the Parliament of Montenegro, to which he was installed by the Europe Now Movement and Milojko Spajić, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) announced.
"As a reminder, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared January 9, the date celebrated by Milorad Dodik, unconstitutional. That date is not recognized by the rest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor by the international community. This is one in a series of moves by Andrija Mandić that actively undermines good neighborly relations, which represent one of the basic values important for Montenegro's EU membership," the statement reads.
And this, as they said, is not the first time, since Montenegro has already received a note of protest from BiH twice because of Mandić.
"The first time was due to Milorad Dodik's visit when Mandić received him in the official premises of the Parliament of Montenegro, and on that occasion the BiH flag was not displayed, and the second time was when Mandić stated that Vučić's All-Serbian Parliament was a gathering of two states, which BiH perceived as an attempt to attack its constitutional order," the DPS reminds.
They said that, ultimately, the responsibility for Mandić's "embarrassment of Montenegro" from the position of the first person in parliament and for the fact that his policies "represent cogs in the wheels of Montenegro on its European path" lies solely with the representatives of the parliamentary majority, who "gave him the chance to create this disgrace from the position of the third most important person in the state."
"If they do not distance themselves from Mandić's actions, the ruling parties will join the ranks of those who shamelessly attack the Constitution of a neighboring country, while their mouths are full of talk about the European Union and the values on which it is based," the DPS announced.
