Ambassador Veljko Milonjić presented his letters of credence to Estonian President Alar Karis, officially assuming the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to that country, on a non-residential basis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced.
It is stated that Milonjić thanked Karis for the consistent support that Estonia provides to Montenegro and its importance, especially in the final stages of Montenegro's European integration process.
Karis, it is added, reiterated his country's commitment to Montenegro's European future and pointed to the progress made in that process, while also reflecting on the positive impressions of last year's official visit to our country.
"In this context, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of the cooperation so far and agreed on the need to further intensify the overall bilateral cooperation between the two countries," the MFA statement said.
They stated that, with the aim of improving relations, Milonjić will use his visit to Tallinn for meetings in ministries, parliament, the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and the e-Government Academy.
