As of today, Free Montenegro is not part of the government in Podgorica, we are leaving the local government because we do not want to support it, Vladislav Dajković, president of Free Montenegro, announced today.
"Not a single issue - dual citizenship, NATO membership, recognition of Kosovo... has been resolved. Serbs are serving as MPs for them. I am sorry that some Serbs in the government have become enthusiastic about the European Union (EU). They forget that they were the organizers of the anti-NATO protests. Well, EU members are also in NATO," Dajković pointed out at a press conference in the capital's Assembly.
Yesterday, Podgorica Mayor Saša Mujović made a decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings and a decision to suspend Dajković until the completion of those proceedings, due to suspicion that he committed a serious breach of official duty.
"God helps, Christ is born. After the cutting down of the princes, there is a rebellion against the dahi. Yesterday I was suspended by Mayor Mujović, who practically forbade me from coming to work because I supported the Zeta brothers, our Serb brothers who live in Zeta. I am being banned from accessing the local administration as if I had killed a man. I was not dismissed because I embezzled city money, got into a fight at work, but because I supported the Serbs in Zeta and my comrade Milan Knežević," said Dajković.
He added that if anyone should be punished, it should be him.
"I could be left without a job, without bread, but not without a face. If you go out to Bokeška, you will see at least 30 local officials. Not a single DPS official has been suspended, has lost his job. In 2020, I led an active campaign against the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) - Milo Đukanović and Ivan Vuković. I exposed their affairs and misdeeds. During that time, Mujović was in the DPS headquarters with Duško Marković. We forgave him for his ugly past and supported him in the local assembly, and this is how he returned the favor," said Dajković.
He said that they were not given the mandate by Mujović or Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
"But we won it. I got this job fairly - I applied for the job. It is mentioned that Dajković was at the protest in Zeta, and no one mentions that Dajković helped in numerous humanitarian actions, that we helped several hundred citizens of Podgorica, solved the problems of young and old, brought firewood - mostly outside of working hours. The decision on my suspension is illegal, because it was not decided by the disciplinary commission. Do you know where that commission is? The floor below Spajić's office. I am sure that this decision on suspension did not come from the head of Mujović or his wife, or even that famous Vesna Brajović. This decision came from the head of Spajić because a few days ago I said on the show that before entering politics he had done a horoscope for me and ran to take a picture with me. I have no need to justify myself to anyone. This is the continuation of the persecution of the Serbian people. I was dismissed for political reasons because I supported the Serbs in Zeta," said Dajković, adding that, if he were to ask, the government would fall at the state level tomorrow.
Free Montenegro councilor Boban Radević said that the party is canceling its support for Mujović.
"Who is it that can deny the right to expression, especially if it is the president of the party that forms the government in the capital? We are canceling our support for Saša Mujović. We will initiate talks with all government officials in Podgorica, and above all with our colleagues from the club - the Democratic People's Party (DNP) - about initiating the dismissal of Mujović and shortening the mandate of the assembly," said Radević.
He said that this would prevent the Government of Montenegro from imposing compulsory administration in the capital.
"As a councilor, I stand with President Dajković. We are starting to fight for all those issues that have been neglected," said Radević.
When asked by reporters whether he would cooperate with the DPS, the European Union and other opposition political entities, Dajković said that the DPS "is currently sitting in the Europe Now Movement (PES)."
"These are people who could not stand out. Let's not change the thesis that Radević, Dajković and Knežević are to blame. We did not send 680 police officers to Botun, but the current government. There is a sign of equality between DPS and PES," said Dajković.
Responding to a question from a "Vijesti" journalist whether he would leave power in other municipalities (Nikšić, Berane and Andrijevica), the leader of Slobodna said that they had not yet held a presidency session, but that they were already preparing for the 2027 elections.
